I received my order today. I’m not sure if my rating is fair, seeing as I’ve yet to use the tool, but an aspect I didn’t find entirely satisfying, on inspection, is the side-to-side movement of the drill holding clamp piece on the vertical slide bar, it’s not very tight even though it’s a hexagonal and not a circular bar. This appears to be how it’s built, as opposed to any kind of damage, which isn’t pleasing for a precision instrument. I anticipate, however, on use, that I will achieve perfectly straight holes, but will have to ensure that I accurately strike the bore point, each time, as the side-to-side movement could be 3-5mm on either side.
I’m thinking the drill block may have been a better option, therefore, but I chose this instrument so as to have more flexibility in bit sizes.
Well, let’s give it a try and I may need update this review and rating.
