Description

A Sole Flattening PlaneDai Naoshi Kanna is essential for truing the soles of Smoothing and Jointer planes. It can also be used for surfaces with difficult grain patterns. The iron is hand-forged laminated white steel tempered to Rockwell c65. It is installed in the Kashi Dai (Japanese White Oak plane body) at a skew angle, thus creating a shear cut. Instructions for tune-up are included. Body length: 7½˝. Blade width: 1½˝.
