King Arthur’s Tools – Purple Holey Galahad Flat Extreme Coarse | BTA47874.

The Flat Extreme Coarse Purple (FEP) is a 120 Grit Disc for extremely rapid removal, up to 15 -20% faster than using the coarse blue Holey Galahad. Leaves a smooth but coarse finish and best used on flat surfaces. Holey Galahad is engineered to “open a window to your work” – no stopping to lift the grinder and check your progress. Discs can be used on both their face and edge surfaces. Made of durable Tungsten Carbide, there is no heat build up. Fits most 4-1/2″ (115mm) and metric (125mm) angle grinders with our Recessed Universal Nut. Maximum 14,000 RPM. Discs are 4″ (100mm) in diameter with a 7/8(22mm) center hole and feature patented structured tungsten carbide teeth bonded to steel discs over the total cutting surface. Tungsten carbide needles are manufactured in a 5-stage patented process. Made in USA. Patent Pending Discs provide you with an uncanny ability to see the surface being sanded through the disc as it spins.

Universal Nut As An Accessory, Especially For ALL Round Holey Galahads.  Wehighly recommend using our specially designed Universal Nut # 13750 (standard angle grinder) or #14000 (metric grinder), especially for any round Holey Galahad to secure the accessory. Here’s why!

Every round profile Holey Galahad has a different inner wall design and slightly thinner metal thickness than flat Holey Galahads. The engineering and manufacturing design incorporating the 6 holes conflicted with the compatibility in using most manufacturers grinder locknuts to tighten the round disc.  The disc was generally seated below the arbor, which did not allow over-width grinder lock nuts to secure the round Holey Galahads, causing the discs to spin freely.  Our recessed Universal Nut overcomes this problem. Using this specially designed nut, you simply seat any style Holey Galahad, but especially the round profile, over the arbor and tighten. The depression in the universal nut seats over the arbor and securely tightens the disc.  It also seats snugly in the deep well center of any Holey Galahad.

The flat Holey Galahad body is slightly thicker than the round model and, in most cases, when seated over the arbor, will be level with, or rise slightly over the arbor. In this case using the angle grinder manufacturer’s locknut will tighten and secure Holey Galahad.

If using both round and flat Holey Galahads, get the respective size Universal Nut that suits your grinder.  It will make securing all your accessories a breeze.
