Description

Crown Block Planes come in three sizes or iron widths: 1-3/4″, 1-1/4″ and 1″. All feature a slight coffin shaped body ? narrower at the ends and thicker in the middle. They are perfect for small jobs, whether you?re trimming end grain or straightening up a joint or edge. The 1″ Block is made from seasoned hard and figured maple with a long iron for years of service. Body measures approximately 5-3/4″ long x 1-1/2″ wide and weighs 6.1 oz. The 1″ wide blade is A2 steel hardened to Rc60-62, ground to a 22-1/2? bevel, and set in the plane at a 45? angle with the bevel down. Each blade is hand fitted to each plane.
