Bessey F-Clamp – 400 x 175mm Malleable Cast Iron Screw Clamp

Maximum safety is available with the integrated BESSEY anti-slip system, when clamping with a throat depth of 80 mm or more. A set screw that is molded into the sliding arm interlocks with the serration on the rail. This effectively prevents the clamp from dislodging or slipping away.
2. Reinforced malleable cast iron arms
The characteristic high-quality malleable cast iron fixed and sliding arms, which are serrated for reinforcement, allow powerful, rigid clamping. The powder coating provides additional protection against corrosion.

The BESSEY profiled rail from our own drawing plant has been especiallY optimised for clamps. The profile acts as a reliable reinforcement against torsional forces, while the serration on six faces additionally prevents the clamp from slipping.

With BESSEY Best-Comfort-System, all applications and tasks are well within your grasp. Pressure plates can be changed quickly without the need for tools, to make BESSEY comfort still more inviting.

I purchased 3 of these deep throated clamps so they could reach across the arched 160mm taffrail of my wooden boat to clamp onto the transom beam of 25mm. I was sceptical that this product would be robust enough however this quality made in Germany product blew my socks off when comparing it to the basic smaller hardware store F clamps. Most local suppliers were clueless as where to find deep throated F clamps and were not interested in helping. Tools4wood were the only business that cared to provide excellent advice and service. I immediately found additional uses for this product on my wooden boat build and will be able to assist build friends who also find themselves tied up in knots and straps trying to secure awkwardly positioned components on a build. I am now able to glue my transom parts together without straps getting in the way of the glue and screw process.

There is a saying that you can never have enough clamps. I have 4 of these and a number of bigger and smaller ones and I still find I need more. Quality is good and grip powerful. What more could you ask for?
