JWDS-1632-M is a modern model of a drum grinder with the possibility of installing brushes for wood scaling. The traditional layout with a cantilever arrangement of the working unit allows you to work with parts whose width is twice the length of the drum or brush. 
The height above the belt of the conveyor is regulated by the rotation of the handle, while it is possible to control both the absolute value on the millimeter scale on the housing and the relative movement along the limb on the handle. Adjustment of the parallelism of the shaft and the base is made without an auxiliary tool: two latches and a screw stop are equipped with barrel handles.

The conveyor belt drive is equipped with a smooth speed control with the SandSmart electronic system, which adjusts the set value depending on the load on the motor. If it reaches a critical value (for example, the thickness of the workpiece is increased), the conveyor speed will automatically decrease, and later, as soon as the conditions permit, it will automatically return to the previous level.

In the standard version, the model is equipped with an aluminum drum with a winding of abrasive tape. Thanks to the proprietary fastening system, its replacement is quick and easy. Access to the unit is released after the hood is thrown back, the ends are fixed with snap-on clips, tension is produced by a special spring device that compensates for the stretching of the tape during wear.

As an additional equipment, brushes are supplied for brashing wooden workpieces. Depending on the type of roller and processing mode, the effect of artificial aging with a sharp distinct manifestation of the structure of the tree fibers, simple grinding with removal of “pile”, or an intermediate result with a shallow display of texture is achieved. For the conversion of the machine into a boring machine, it is necessary to purchase a special shaft (option item RB.JWDS1632), then the brushes are mounted on it and the assembly is assembled instead of the drum. This procedure is performed without disassembly of the machine and does not require special qualification.
