MicroPlane tools are designed to cut hardwood, softwood, masonite, particle board & other relatively soft materials. The round blade comes equipped with its own comfortable Santaprene handle. It is used like other round files & rasps to cut flat bottomed notches & triangular grooves, but it cuts much faster & leaves a smoother finish than any similar tool.
