As with other 18v Makita tools, this one is compatible with the 3AH – 5AH battery. A full charge allows you to work for about 1.5 hours if you’re not cutting material that is thicker than 50mm. The accuracy is acceptable but the dust collection sucks. The plastic insert between the blade and the base is flimsy and sometimes falls out while in use. Overall, a good saw for a beginner but the corded barrel grip versions will be a better option for serious woodworkers.
