The Makita DSS610 18V Lithium-ion cordless circular saw is a versatile all rounder. The 165mm circular saw blade provides a no load speed of 3700rpm, performing an impressive 57mm max depth of cut at 90 degrees, 40mm max depth of cut at 45 degrees making it ideal for a range of applications. With its built in LED job light, handy in low visibility. Also featuring a double safety trigger, high comfort grips, large lock off lever, removable dust nozzle and built in blow-off nozzle. The DSS610 will run on 3.0Ah BL1830.

Just Plain Craft –
This has been a favourite of mine since it came out. I use it extensively in the workshop and on site. Combine it with the Kreg rip cut jig and you can process sheet goods on your own. Make you own diy track and it works well as a ‘tracksaw’. Don’t be fooled by its compact design, it is very powerful for its size.

One of my first purchases in the Makita LXT range. Absolutely love it. Packs a powerful punch for its size and does what I need it to do. Built myself some aluminium tracks so works well as a ‘tracksaw’ for a third of the price.
AM de Jager –
Well built (as you would expect from Makita) with very accurate bevel and depth of cut adjustments. I use a 3.0Ah battery and battery life is incredible – much better than I thought it would be. Before this model I was used to using saws with the blade on your right when holding the saw – so this one took a while getting used to. Not a problem, just a bit different to what I am used to. The saw feels very well balanced (when the battery is mounted) and is ideal for cutting smaller stock down before milling or processing on other tools. I can highly recommend this model.
