Liberon Dark Oak Palette Wood Dye is a premium, water-based dye designed to enhance the natural appearance of interior woodwork. It is perfect for use prior to applying oils, waxes, varnishes, or French polish. This dark oak wood dye provides a deep, rich colour while allowing the grain to remain visible, bringing out the inherent beauty of both hard and softwoods. Ideal for a variety of wood surfaces such as furniture, floors, doors, and more, this versatile dye can be mixed with other Palette Wood Dyes for unique custom colours. It can also be combined with Libéron Natural Finish Varnish to achieve an enhanced finish.

How To Use:

Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and sanded, free from dust.

Application:

1. Shake the tin thoroughly before use.
2. If more than one tin is required, mix them together to achieve a consistent colour.
3. Apply the dye using a foam applicator or brush, working along the grain of the wood.
4. Immediately wipe off excess dye with a clean, dry cotton cloth to even out the colour.
5. For large surfaces, work in small sections to prevent overlap marks.
6. Allow the first coat to dry for 2 hours, and apply a second coat if a stronger colour is desired.

Advice:

• More than two coats may affect the final finish.
• Test the product on a spare or inconspicuous area to check colour compatibility before full application.
• Be cautious when applying water-based finishes over the dye to avoid lifting the colour with overbrushing.
• Clean tools with water after use, and dispose of residues responsibly.
