The digital depth gauge is an instrument used to measure the depth, width and height of tooling in stationary machines.
The depth gauge can be used to setup:
- The height adjustment of a circular saw blade above the table for grooving.
- The height and depth adjustment on a router table for moulding/counter-profiling.
- The width adjustment on the rip fence of a bandsaw.

Its hard to give this product a star rating . As I have not had a chance to use it. The instructions are shocking and basically tell you nothing. Attempts to get instructions and relevent information over a two week period have proved pointless. Once I get the details if I get the details I will review this product again

I love this tool as the guessing of height is a thing of the past with a normal tape measure. Works great on getting the planer blades set correctly not to mention the ease of use on the router table.

I keep discovering new uses for this tool. Not being a mathematician, I am not sure what the Absolute and Relative measuring is used for, so I just use the regular measurements. Recently I discovered that I can set my Table Saw and Router fences with this instrument. On the table saw I can zero after taking into consideration the kerf of my blade, and then I have very accurate measurements for consistently ripping thin stock for inlays, mitre groove inserts and splines. I also use the depth gauge to measure my juice grooves to ensure consistency across the boards. Takes a bit of figuring out, but slowly I am learning all of the tricks. Thanks to Rodney for giving the links, having some reference material does help to figure out all the uses for this little tool.
