A planer is a handy tool to own if you love working with wood or using reclaimed timber. You can shave off rough surfaces quickly with a planer and remove uneven edges without spending hours sanding. And let’s be honest, there are times when projects don’t work out exactly as planned and you need to trim off a bit here and there! You can also use a planer for a wide variety of planing projects in and around the home, such as fitting or remove excess wood from a door when replacing old doors with new.

Weighing 2,4 kg you will find the Bosch PHO Planer extremely easy to maneuver and comfortable to use. Both the Bosch PHO 1500 and PHO 2000 models feature an intelligent blade system that allows for quick and easy change of the tungsten carbide planing knife.

The Bosch PHO 1500 has a depth cut of between 0 and 1,5 mm and offers users a clean work surface thanks to the one-sided chip clearance, which also offers you to attach a vacuum cleaner or dust bag for a dust-free work environment. The PHO 2000 planer has a depth of cut between 0 and 2 mm and features two-sided chip clearance which serves as a vacuum cleaner access point.

And as far as safety is concerned, both models feature a parking rest, which protects the blades and the surface of the work piece when the planer is set down.

The Bosch planers also have three V-grooves that allow the user to perform easy and convenient chamfering of edges.
