Many years ago, a friend of mine had a small HITACHI circular saw which worked well with plywood. I can’t find one. I then purchased the BOSCH PKS 16 Multi Mini Hand-held Circular Saw. It works well for cutting plywood. A hint is to tape the plywood with a broad masking tape over mark, mark the line on the masking tape and then perform the cut a mm to the off-cut of the line. For precision, use the jointer or a jack plane to get to the mark. Only remove the masking tape right at the end of the project as it will protect the edge/s
I needed to cut some conveyer belt and this little BOSCH PKS 16 Multi Mini Hand-held Circular Saw did not disappoint me. Obvious it is not designed for this type of work. but it did the job. A little oil on the cutting mark prevented binding of the blade.
