This 8mm reducer for 1/2″ collet routers will allow the use of 8mm router bits. 8 mm router bits are preferred for dovetail joinery because they have 60% more metal than 1/4″ shanks giving you greater stiffness for enhanced usability and increased feed rates in hardwoods.
