Got this to use in my first attempt to build a cabinet using dowel joinery. Thus far it has worked fairly well, working with care the joints fit well and the result is quite good in terms of how work pieces ultimately line up. The one aspect I feel can be improved upon is the drilling of the holes on the edge of the board. When drilling the holes on the edge one has to put a fair amount of pressure on the handle to make sure the jig remains wedged in the correct position and that the hole ends up where it is supposed to. So you are putting lateral pressure on the handle and I found that it could happen that the base of the jig is not flush/level with the edge of the board since that requires downward pressure on the jig as well. I am working with 16mm board, the thinner the board the more likely this is to happen. If there was a way to clamp the jig in place rather than just holding it by the handle I would certainly prefer that even if it meant it took longer to create the hole.
