Liberon Liming Special Effects Wax is a white wax designed to create a beautiful limed effect on oak and other hardwoods. Ideal for use on oak, elm, and various other hardwoods, this wax enhances the natural beauty of wood grain, giving it a unique, lightened appearance. It is perfect for achieving a stylish, limed effect on interior wooden surfaces, transforming the look of your furniture and other wood fixtures.

How To Use:

Preparation:

• Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any previous finishes.
• Open the grain with a Liberon Bronze Liming Brush. For softwoods like pine, use a wire brush or coarse abrasive paper to score the timber.
• If desired, enhance the effect by colouring the wood with Liberon Palette Wood Dye before applying the liming wax.

Application:

1. Work the liming wax into the grain of the wood using Liberon Ultra Fine Steel Wool (Grade 0000) or a lint-free cotton cloth.
2. Wipe off excess wax with a clean cloth and allow to dry for 3 minutes.
3. Remove the white haze using a clean cloth and Wax Polish Black Bison Neutral or, for a water-resistant finish, Liberon Finishing Oil.
4. Apply a second coat of Wax Polish Black Bison or another coat of oil for added water resistance and shine.

Important:

• Always test the product on a spare surface or inconspicuous area for colour, compatibility, and end result.
