Toolmate Cast Iron Router Table | TART017.

A solid, heavy-duty cast iron table designed for mounting a heavy-duty router upside down. This turns the router into a small wood shaper.

Because of the 19mm thick mounting section, the certain router will have to be fitted with a collet extension to allow cutters to reach the top of the table. Securing the router to the table is by means of 4 clamps that slide into T slots on the underside of the table. This way the router is held in place with clamps around the base and there is no need to drill unsightly holes into the router base. The router collett can easily now be positioned to be concentric with the hole in the table. The cutter height on certain routers can also be adjusted from the top if an access hole is drilled for this purpose. There are 2 x metal rings with different diameters that will cover the opening around the cutter. The table comes with a sliding mitre gauge that is useful when making coped joints on end grain. Two hold-down springs will provide downward pressure. A cast-iron dust hood with a 100 mm dust port and an aluminium fence also forms part of the setup.
