This widely popular clamp fixture is designed to be used on ordinary 3/4″ galvanised pipe with the flexibility of creating any clamping length. Easy to assemble. ideal for metalworking, woodworking and a wide range of applications from industrial to do-it-yourself type projects.

Do these clamps require the ¾” inch pipe to be threaded on one end? If so, where / how would one go about doing that especially considering the thread is likely to be imperial too?
Hey there @jimbob kindly note that these clamps simply clamp on to the 3/4″ pipe. They do not require any thread on the pipe.

It was great using this clamp today. It was a challenge to source 3/4 inch galvanised pipe but ultimately I managed to find a builders warehouse branch which stocked smaller size sections of pipe other than 5.6m long (I was not into trying to source a hand pipe thread cutter and die to make my own sections). After finding 900mm and 500mm sections the next challenge was to find 3/4 inch couplers. I eventually found myself at Stewarts and Lloyods which had ample supply of couplers at less than R6 each (versus a builders warehouse section of R45 each) which did not compromise the clamping area. Managed to put together a very sturdy pipe section to clamp the bulwarks across my boat which were 1940mm apart. Very useful clamps to have with a selection of varying pipe lengths – subsequently found that Steward and Lloyds also supply good quality galvanised piping at a fraction of the Builders Warehouse prices. Highly recommend.
