Product Description
With the Tormek patented SVH-320 you can sharpen HSS planer blades of any length. Also suitable for mitre guillotine blades.
- With the Tormek Planer Blade Attachment SVH-320 you will always work with sharp planer blades. You do not need to interrupt your work to send them away for sharpening.
- Wet grinding eliminates the risk of burning the edge, which is easily done when using a high-speed dry grinder. You will get a very fine edge that will also last longer.
- The jig copes with planer blades of any length. Blades longer than 270 mm (10½”) are relocated in the blade holder and ground in two steps.
Design
The attachment comprises support (1), blade holder (2) and allen key (3). In this attachment the tool is guided precisely and ground flat along its whole length to a pre-set fixed depth. This is not the case with the other Tormek jigs, where your hand decides where the grinding occurs and the depth of grinding. It is important that the grinding angle is set with great accuracy. If you follow the detailed step by step instructions carefully, you will be satisfied with the results.

Good day Hennie, yes you can sharpen blades which are 320mm long. All you would need to do is relocate the blade in the blade holder. Sharpening these blades would be a two-step process.
