I took delivery on friday 01/10 2015, wow was I impressed, put the machine on the table checked all required checks for square etc, and much to my delight ACCURACY out of the box, I then proceeded to rip a piece of 50mm Kiaat, cut like a hot knife through butter, If you need a table saw that won’t take up your entire workshop, and performs like upmarket cabinet saws, this is the one for you.

I bought this table saw about 15 months ago and have used it in my wooden boat build from the very beginning. Being a novice I learnt how to use this saw by building my own table for if from the wood of a discarded bed. I have used it to build m boat strong back from 6m roof trusses, my frame sections from 12mm SA Pine, my keel from iroko and strakes from 9mm Okoume marine ply. I have cut many angled batons on this saw and using it connected to the Makita vaccum results in a very clean work area – soon I will be using it to shape clear oregan pine mast wood. I have successfully cut more than 6m long x1.22 scarfed plywood with this saw despite it being just a small table saw. Placed on a moveable table I can store it easily in a corner and quickly move it into an open space to work on if need be. Highly recommended.

One of the best, if not THE best, tool/machine purchases I have made in the last year! This saw is worth the price, especially when you compare it to it’s direct competitors. It performs incredibly well, is very accurate out of the box (although some tweaking is recommended, but this goes for ALL power tools) and it large enough to handle fairly big sheets/long boards and planks. The sliding table means you can make mitre/crosscuts right out of the box without having to make a crosscut sled (although it is something you will want to make anyway for various other reasons, like box joints etc). Great machine, definitely worth the price whether on sale or not.
