ROUTER BIT PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

– Router bits are for use with router machines only.

– Always wear ear and eye protection.

– Follow all safety precautions and follow the instructions included with your router.

– Never use bits that are dull or damaged.

– Do not force the bit to overload the router.

– Be sure that at least 3/4 of the shaft length is inserted into the router collet.

– Do not “bottom-out” the bit in the collet. The shank should be about 1/8″ from the bottom of the collet.

– Use a router table and fence whenever possible. In general, any large diameter bit should be used in a router table.

– Rout in two or more passes when large amounts of stock must be removed.

– Use reduced speeds for large diamter bits.

– Failure to follow all safety instructions and warnings can result in serious bodily injury.
