3DX Tech CarbonX Nylon Filament, 1.75mm, 0.5kg, Black | FIL120.

3DX Tech manufactures high performance 3D printing filaments.  This Generation 3 CarbonX™ CF-Nylon Filament is formulated using a PA6 Nylon copolymer reinforced with high-modulus carbon fibers.  This filament is ideal for anyone that desires a structural component with high modulus, improved chemical and thermal resistance, excellent surface quality, and ease of printing.  Gen3 has higher Heat Deflection Temperature than our previous grades (147°C at .45MPa) allowing for expanded use in higher-temp applications.

This filament is ideal for engineering applications where high mechanical strength and stiffness are required, high temperature resistance and high chemical resistance.  You do not need to purchase a special printer for CarbonX™ CF-Nylon.  This CF Nylon (Gen 3) filament was engineered for use in practically any desktop 3D Printer that has a heated bed.

Please note:  This filament is very abrasive due to the fibers in the filament.  Please use a hardened nozzle when printing.

Specifications:

  • Material weight: 0.5kg
  • Filament diameter: 1.75mm
  • Printing temperature: 240-270 Deg C
  • Bed Temperature: 80-110 Deg C
  • Printing bed: Polyimide Tape, Clean glass with ABS/Acetone Slurry
  • Tensile strength: 63 MPa
  • Flextural Modulus of Elasticity: 3750 MPa

Nylon absorbs moisture from local humidity.  If you hear a popping sound or see steam coming from the nozzle during printing, dry the filament by heating it in an oven to 80 Deg C for at least 4 hours.  For detailed drying instructions from 3DX Tech, please view here.
