Jet JSSG-8-M grinding and polishing machine for sharpening, straightening and lapping cutting tools (mostly manual) with high precision and without tempering the cutting edge.

The shaft with wheels (abrasive, sanding and leather polishing) rotates at a low speed, which can be adjusted using the handle on the front panel. The grinding stone is immersed in a bath to be wetted with water.

The kit includes a tool holder with screw clamps and a guide bracket for working with it or with other accessories (a large assortment is presented under the JET brand and is available at an additional cost). Depending on the work to be done, the bracket is mounted on one or the other side of the body, which allows grinding from edge to butt or vice versa. To adjust the sharpening angle, it is moved, changing the distance to the surface of the sharpening stone.

Thanks to the successful combination of characteristics and the ability to control the rotation speed, the machine is in demand among craftsmen working with wood, since it is they who are faced with the need to sharpen a large number of tools with a carbon steel blade that has poor temperature resistance. An additional advantage of the Jet JSSG-8-M is that the diameter of the bracket for installing accessories corresponds to the common standard (12 mm), which will facilitate their selection and purchase.
