Suitable for use with all Bosch Professional (Blue) 18v Li-ion cordless power tools, ProCORE batteries offer the performance of conventional batteries but with reduced size and weight, enabling the use of much higher capacity models like the new 12.0ah option.

Thanks to innovations including new-generation cells and Bosch CoolPack 2.0 technology, it is now possible to achieve more powerful performance in a smaller form factor. The same advances increase energy efficiency and, by protecting against heat damage, extend the battery’s life. For demanding tasks with high energy tools, the 12.0ah ProCORE battery provides the ability to work for longer than ever before without needing to recharge.

The key to extending runtime and lifetime is intelligent heat management and design, as developed for Bosch CoolPack 2.0. This provides ideal conditions for efficient battery performance and prevents damage from overheating. Compared to batteries without CoolPack, ProCORE18V packs last 135% longer.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) materials have been specially chosen to maximise the effectiveness of battery cooling elements. Their structure, which encases each cell, is designed to increase surface area and thereby speed up heat dissipation. By avoiding gaps within the battery construction, internal storage of heat is avoided. The improved cell connectors used for CoolPack 2.0 also help, by lowering resistance and saving power.

A Single Cell Monitoring (SCM) system safely optimises power delivery from the cells, while battery status is clearly displayed by a new high-resolution indicator with five LEDs.

As well as two 12.ah batteries, this ProCORE starter pack also includes a GAL 18V-160 C charger, currently the worlds fastest 18v power tool battery charger. Able to recharge a depleted 8.0ah battery to 80% capacity in just over 30 minutes, this charger features a dual fan Active Air Cooling system, charge indicator LEDs with 5 stages, a power boost button and wall mounting capability.

Battery AH:

The best way to describe battery amp hour is that this is effectively the size of your fuel tank, the more amp hours your battery has then the longer the battery will last between charges. More amp hours does not increase the power of a given tool.

Battery Voltage:

A tool with a higher voltage than another is a bit like choosing an engine in a car, the higher voltage will generally mean higher power & performance. As with cars though a bigger engine does not always translate to better performance so it is important to compare the specifications of tools at different voltages between different manufacturers.
