The first and only Belt Sander I bought for my boat build. Have used for more that a year now. Works well with my Makita Shop dust extractor/vaccum. Sometimes difficult to get 75×533 sanding belts for finer grits from retail outlets. 80 and 100 grit seem readily available but 120 to 150 grit not so easily available. Has been used extensively to tidy up scraph joints initially manually planed on full size 1220 wide okume marine ply/SA pine exterior ply. Last night I used table top table saw to cut 4x 200mm scarph joints in 40x20x3000 iroko deck supports and Bosch beltsander made easy work clearing away burn marks. Belt sander in vice also doublles as baton planer and again made short work of epoxy and glassfibre overruns on okoume sheer and lapstrakes. Love this tool..robust and has stood up to a novice like me’s ignorant abuse!
