10 Easy steps how to use this acrylic router template set:

1. Place the template over your material (usually wood or wood epoxy resin).
2. Securely attach the router template to your material using two double sided tape or hot glue.
3. Install your appropriately sized straight cutting router bit into your router making sure that the router bit has a blade long enough for the height of your material and for the inlay to be sufficiently thick for what you intend to accomplish.
4. Line up the bearing/bushing of your router bit with the template making sure that the bearing is centred on the edge of the template.
5. Turn on your router and glide the template along the bearing of your router bit.
6. Repeat steps 2-5 on the positive male part to carve out a matching inlay, making sure to carefully follow the instructions that came with your inlay kit, using the offset bearing for the female part and without for the positive male part.
7. Using a chisel make the corners straight so that the inlay will fit perfectly into the hole.
8. Apply glue to all the interior pocket surfaces and insert the inlay, a clamp may be used to fully seat the inlay and that it dries & hardens correctly.
9. Carefully remove the template from your material, using a scraper.
10. Remove the double sided tape or hot glue from the template by hand or using a adhesive remover like GOO GONE for any stubborn or sticky residue and sand off any leftover residue off of your project.
